E-waste accounts for 70% of heavy metals in landfills, which can contaminate soil and groundwater. Some recyclers ship e-waste to countries with no worker safety or environmental standards. Blue Star Recyclers provides safe and secure e-waste recycling, and no hazardous e-waste will be land-filled, incinerated, or shipped abroad. They’ll even destroy your data-storage devices for you to prevent identity theft.
You can recycle your old cell phones, print cartridges, and batteries (taped on each end) at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo any day of the year. Just drop them at the admissions booth during normal business hours. Your waste turns into cash that helps us support our animal conservation programs.
