Snow Survival Program

It’s cold outside. You’d freeze without your coat and hat. So how do wild animals manage to survive the winter when it is especially chilly? We will discuss survival strategies, special adaptations and how you can track their movement in the winter months. Ages 6-12.

Dates & Times

Monday - Wednesday, December 21-23, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Registration is closed for the first program of winter camp.


Amazing Adaptations Program

Why do giraffes have such long tongues? Why do leopards have spots? We’ll talk about amazing animal adaptations including camouflage and behavior. Ages 6-12.

Dates & Times

Monday - Wednesday, December 28-30, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.


Cost

Members: $100.00 per child either program
$180.00 per child for both programs

Non-members: $130.00 per child either program
$240.00 per child for both programs


Scholarships

Help a child attend a Cheyenne Mountain Zoo camp by making a donation of $5 or more. Simply note your donation on your registration form—and make a child's camp wishes come true. Application deadline for Scholarship Form submission is May 1, 2010.

Refunds

Can't make it to camp? Just send us a written refund request at least two weeks before the camp's start date. We will refund your camp fee, less a $25 non-refundable administration fee. Sorry, no refunds will be given within two weeks of the camp's start date.
