~ Born Monday, April 26, 2021 to eight-year-old mother Rogue, and father Hercules. This little male ring-tailed lemur was the first baby born at Water’s Edge: Africa, and now he is over a year old! With his bold and adventurous personality, Maky quickly became the “leader of the little ones” on Lemur Island. Keepers say when he is interested or excited about something, Elo and Anja, his younger half-siblings, usually follow suit. When he’s not exploring everything (with the highest energy possible), he loves to play and eat with them, which is a sign of a their very close social bond.
