Exhibits

At America's mountain Zoo, connect with animals from all over the world, closer than you ever have before. Hand-feed Cheyenne Mountain Zoo's magnificent giraffe herd, which is one of the largest at any zoo in the U.S. Be sure to visit Rocky Mountain Wild, featuring animals native to our climate, where you can watch mountain lions overhead or grizzly bears swimming. For the seventh consecutive year, we've been voted one of the top ten zoos in North America by USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards. And don't miss Water's Edge: Africa, with up-close views that you've never seen before of our Nile hippos, African penguins and others.

Custom Animal Experiences

Experience the Zoo in a whole new way, by booking a custom animal experience. Go behind the scenes with our keepers to learn about each animal's unique personality. See an animal in a personal setting, and maybe even get the chance to feed one.

This is my favorite zoo in Colorado. It takes a little exercise since it's on the side of a mountain, but they are accommodating and have wonderful customer service. The scenery is beautiful, grounds are kept clean, and animal exhibits are fantastic.

We had a blast, even though it was overcast and very misty and sprinkling when we arrived, we were still able to see some animals inside. The zoo definitely accounts for the unpredictable weather! Nice family zoo to have a family weekend spending here. Diverse species of animals with serval restaurants and beer to enjoy. There is a skyline in the zoo which is fun to explore. Need to reserve tickets before going or you need to bet your luck to get tickets by the door. Great spending of time over there. Btw, elephants and giraffes are clocked off earlier, so go to visit them first!

I've been going here since 2003 and it's a great place. The food costs too much so we bring our own.
